General Information:

  • Breakfast is offered between 8am and 10am daily, by reservation.

  • Check in - 3pm to 6pm. Later arrival by pre-arrangement and an extra fee; Checkout by 11am

  • No children under the age of 13 or Pets allowed to stay at the Inn *some exceptions may apply Inquire if you have any questions.

Our Policies:

*Reservation inquiries may be made via our website, telephone or email. A booking is only confirmed once we have received a deposit equal to one-night stay and the guest receives a booking confirmation email. Only rates posted on our official website are guaranteed. Whole house rental must be paid 30 days in advance; premium date rentals also paid 30 days in advance.

 

*A deposit equal to one-night stay is required when a reservation is made.

 

*Friday and Saturday check-ins require a minimum 2-night stay throughout the year. Holiday and special event weekends may require a longer minimum stay. Holidays and events include MLK Weekend, Valentine's, Presidents Day, Winter Break, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Events include, but are not limited to: Horse Show, Ironman, 1/2 Ironman, Lake Placid Marathon, World University Games, and other Sports/Olympic-related events.

 

*We are a non-smoking property. Smoking and candles are not permitted in any rooms or common areas.

*Due to the architecture of our historic building, we are not handicapped accessible, and we do not have an elevator.

 

*Hosted CHECK-IN from  3pm to 6 pm. Later arrival by pre-arrangement.    CHECK-OUT time is by 11am.

 

*Cancellation procedure for a regular stay: The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is a small facility which is greatly affected by cancellations. If cancellation is unavoidable, a refund of the deposit less a $50 per room fee will be made if notice is received 14 days or more before arrival. Final payment for all reservations is charged 14 days prior to arrival and your stay becomes non-refundable. No refunds will be given for early departures, no shows, or weather related concerns. Rescheduled stays will be charged in full at time of reschedule request and are non-refundable. Your reservation is not canceled until you have a cancellation confirmation from our office. We understand that cancellation may be out of your control and recommend trip insurance as it is often worth the small cost. 

*Cancellation procedure for a Whole House Buy Out or Event: This cancellation procedure will be outlined in our Contract.

 

*Damage: Damaged and missing items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest. Unreported spills/stains/damage requiring excess cleaning may be charged to the guest's credit card at the discretion of the Innkeeper.

 

*Smoking/candles: Due to the historic nature of our Inn and the beautiful wood features, smoking of any kind and lighting of any candles is strictly prohibited. Guests found to be smoking will be assessed a minimum $300 cleaning fee.

 

*Children/ pets: We pride ourselves in providing a quiet and tranquil environment for our guests to relax and get away from the hustle of everyday life.  Therefore it is not an appropriate environment for children under the age of 13. The Jenny Suite is our only suite that may accommodate one (1) dog with additional fee. Dogs are not permitted in common areas and should be crated if left alone in guest room. 

 

*The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn has a liquor license where we are permitted to resell alcohol to overnight guests over the age of 21. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on premise. 

 

*We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any personal property or valuables of guests or their visitors.

 

*OccupancyAll booking rates are for two guests per room unless otherwise stated at the time of reservation, including breakfast. Guest room cleaning during your stay is by request. 

Dinner Reservation Cancellation Policy:

Please note cancellation of a dinner reservation must be made 24 hours prior to your scheduled seating or a $50/per person fee will be assessed to your credit card on file.

While The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn's commitment to accessibility includes making its web content accessible, this is a work in progress. The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is a private residence with five public suites located on the first and second floor. Most Rooms are accessible only by a flight of stairs. The entrance to the B&B is also by stairs and down a long covered porch. Our B&B is not wheel chair accessible due to the age and historic nature of this building.

Bathroom facilities for our guest's use do not contain handicap faucets or a grab bar. None of our suites have a curb less shower.

Our TVs provided in the rooms do offer closed captioning if the source of the transmission contains closed captioning.

If we do not meet your accessibility needs, there is an ADA compliant hotel 1.5 miles away. The Crown Plaza.
