*Reservation inquiries may be made via our website, telephone or email. A booking is only confirmed once we have received a deposit equal to one-night stay and the guest receives a booking confirmation email. Only rates posted on our official website are guaranteed. Whole house rental must be paid 30 days in advance; premium date rentals also paid 30 days in advance.
*A deposit equal to one-night stay is required when reservations are made. Holiday and special event weekends may require a minimum stay. Holidays and events include Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Christmas and New Years. Events: Horse show, Ironman, 1/2 Ironman.
*While we can always be reached by phone, and our front desk is staffed 24 hours.
*We are a non-smoking property. Smoking and candles are not permitted in any rooms or common areas.
*Due to the architecture of our historic building, we are not handicapped accessible, and we do not have an elevator.
*Hosted CHECK-IN 24 HOURS A DAY. CHECK-OUT time is 11 AM.
*Cancellation procedure: The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is a small facility which is greatly affected by cancellations. If cancellation is unavoidable a refund of the deposit less a $25 per room fee will be made if notice is received 14 days or more before arrival. If cancellation is made 14 days or less before arrival, you will be responsible for 50% of your reservation total. If cancellation is made less than seven days before your check-in, the full reservation cost will be charged unless the room is re-booked. No refunds will be given for early departures. Rescheduling will be subject to the same rules. Your reservation is not canceled until you have a cancellation number from our office. We understand that cancellation may be out of your control and recommend trip insurance as it is often worth the small cost.
*Damage: Damaged and missing items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest. Unreported spills/stains/damage requiring excess cleaning may be charged to the guest's credit card at the discretion of the Innkeeper.
*Smoking/candles: Due to the historic nature of our Inn and the beautiful wood features, smoking of any kind and lighting of any candles is strictly prohibited. Guests found to be smoking will be assessed a minimum $300 cleaning fee.
*Visitors of guests: We welcome guests’ visitors between 7 am and 9 pm. If visitors are joining us for breakfast, a fee of $25 will be applied. If visitors are joining us for afternoon refreshment, a fee of $20 will be applied.
*Children/ pets: We pride ourselves in providing a quiet and tranquil environment for our guests to relax and get away from the hustle of everyday life. Therefore it is not an appropriate environment for children under the age of 13. Likewise, pets are discouraged but considered for entire property rental.
*The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn does not resell alcohol of any type. Guests are permitted to bring their adult beverages which if needed can be stored in the common refrigerator. Please drink responsibly. Visible intoxication is not allowed.
*We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any personal property or valuables of guests or their visitors.
*Occupancy: All booking rates are for two guests per room unless otherwise stated at the time of reservation including breakfast and afternoon refreshment.
To ensure clean, comfortable accommodations we freshen bathrooms, empty trash cans, and make beds daily. However, we respect the privacy of all of our guests and provide ‘do not disturb signs’ if this service is not desired. Bed linens and towels are changed only for stays of three nights or greater. This service may be provided more frequently upon request.
